After serving in the Air Force, Sidney worked for the US Postal Service for over 14 years. But three years ago, the veteran fell on hard times and became homeless.
In February 2018, Sidney moved into our Delta Manor men’s transitional housing program. Six months later, he began a new chapter in his own apartment.
“I got an apartment in Brooklyn. I feel good, it’s a blessing.”
The first thing Sidney did in his new home was celebrate by cooking one of his one of his specialties - stew peas with roasted chicken and rice. We couldn’t be more excited for him.
