Samuel has struggled with housing instability for years. He’s worked hard, always held a job, and supported his family despite his living situation. At 57, he had been homeless for four years.
Then Samuel met his CUCS case workers and found his support system. They cared for him, helping him find housing that met his needs and picking up his medications after a surgery.
“Sometimes a job is just a job. With them, it isn’t. Their hearts are in it, they go the extra mile. They want to see me succeed. That means something.”
Today, Samuel lives in a transitional housing program and is on his way to moving into a permanent home. He hopes to move in before Christmas so he and his family can celebrate the holidays together.
When you support CUCS, you help build a community of care and encouragement to thrive. You help build brighter futures.
